Frame interpolation
Also known as AI slow motion
Creating new frames between existing video frames to make motion smoother or slow footage down. The added frames are predictions, so they need checking for visual errors.
In practice
An editor might use interpolation to smooth a fast camera move that was captured at a lower frame rate.
