Working with the Online Trust Alliance (a part of the The Internet Society). The Stormy Studio team produced this bespoke online security animation to both highlight exactly what the annual OTA Honor Roll is, how they review and score business websites and finally the video presented annual honor roll results in a clear professional manner.
Through a mix of unique character designs, stylised environments and motion graphics we were able to convey ideas clearly with engaging visuals. Before moving on to a more matter of fact presentaiton of the years winners.
Our own Stormy Studio in house voiceover artist brough the professional script to life ensuring the online security animation had a professional delivery of information, this also allowed for quick recording for any last minute script changes.
Effective Online Security Animation Using Motion Graphics
The characters were designed by our in house team, initially with sketches completed on iPad pros using the fantastic sketching app 'Pro Create'. We then moved on the dekstop computers and used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects to bring the characters and scenes to life.
To ensure the video had lots of motion and a consistent theme we designed an array of animated icons to convey different areas of security.
This scene with a character using weighing scales to symbolise an online security assessmenet worked particularly well.
A mixture of frame by frame animation with the typing hands along with digital 2D animation was used for the online security animation introduction.
Whilst frame by frame animation can take considerablw time to produce when compared to other techniques. When possible, we like to include one or two sequences in each project to help raise the overall quality of the animation.
Bold motion graphics allowed us to compliment messages in the online security animation script
A cleanly designed 2D city scape with some slight 3D depth along with a firm use of the brand colour pallete helped ensure a professional and positive image.
Whilst animated typography helped to ensure short and at times dry text throughout the online security animation remained as captivating as possible.
For the latter half of the video we needed to present a large number of stats and honor roll winners.
To help the section move through the figures quickly this section was kept fairly minimal adding simple motion to percentages and subtle background movements.
The online security animation was completed with the animated OTA logo and a call to action to view the full report online.
